I saw a documentary about the architectural work of Julius Shulman called “Visual Acoustics”.
Though I enjoyed this film and it’s subject, what’s more important to me is that I had an epiphany regarding architectural photography.
I had always regarded architectural photography as nothing more that documenting the “art” of an architect. Something akin to making an image of a sculpture.
I no longer feel this way. There’s a real art to capturing the essence of architecture. And the architectural photographer deserves accolades when the aforementioned “essence” is artfully presented.
This gallery is my humble collection of architecture-themed images.
